"WHEN EMPIRES BURN" NOW AND THEN PRODUCTIONS / FRONTIERS RECORDS FR CD. RELEASED 2003.THE BRIEF WAS SIMPLE...CELTIC AND BLUE, THAT WAS IT. ALL THE IMAGES WERE CREATED IN PHOTOSHOP. THIS IMAGE WAS LATER USED FOR THE TOUR T-SHIRT DESIGN.

BURNS BLUE WAS A VERY SIMPLE BRIEF. THEY ASKED FOR A LOGO DESIGN AND THAT WAS TO GO ON THE FRONT OF THE ALBUM.

In April 1992 Vinny was approached by the management of Asia and he joined the band soon after, touring Japan, Russia, Europe and North America. After that nothing seemed to be happening, so Vinny jumped ship and joined Ultravox and did two albums with them. This was where Vinny first met Geordie vocalist Sam Blue who had a great rock pedigree himself having sung for Ya Ya on their second album and the critically acclaimed GTS project.

CONVINCED WAS A MOCK UP FOR A UK BAND WHO WANTED AN AMERICAN FEEL. A BIT TONGUE IN CHEEK.

THIS WAS THE FIRST JOURNEY INTO BRYCE. THE IMAGES OF THE SKELETONS WERE MADE IN POSER THEN IMPORTED INTO PHOTOSHOP. ALL THE BACKGROUND WERE HAND DRAWN AND AIR BRUSHED IN PHOTOSHOP.

Hodson is a new, exciting Melodic Hard Rock band, brainchild of current Ten keyboard player Paul Hodson. Formed in 2003, Hodson consist of Paul on vocals and keyboards, Vince O'Regan (Pulse, Bob Catley) and guitar and Josie Vespa on bass with help from Lynch Radinsky (Pulse) on drums.

ANOTHER U.S. BAND REQUIRED A COVER. I HAD NO DIRECT BRIEF BUT THE ALBUM TITLE GAVE ME THE IDEA OF A SMALL BOY LOOKING INTO ANOTHER WORLD WHILE BEEN LOOKED UPON BY HIMSELF FROM A NOTHER TIME & PLACE.

JOHNNY LIMA IS ANOTHER U.S. ARTIST WHO I WAS ASKED TO COME UP WITH SOME IDEAS FOR. THE BRIEF WAS JUST FOR IT TO BE FULL OF COLOUR WITH AN AMERICAN FEEL.

ALTHOUGH I WAS GIVEN THE FRONT PHOTO I WAS GIVEN TOTAL FREEDOM TO DESIGN THE BOOKLET FOR THIS ALBUM, WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE ALBUMS SECTION OF THIS SITE.

Tamplin then went on to be asked to sing for such groups as Foreigner, Skunk Baxter, Jeff Lynn, Geazer Butler, and even Peter Frampton. In time, Ken became known for his production abilities which has led to many film scores and source music for such features as Inspector Gadget, Perfect Storm, The Waterboy, Charlie's Angels, Mod Squad, Wild America, Major League III as well as a host of TV series' such as Melrose Place, 90210, The X-Files, Baywatch, the theme for Ace Ventura (Nickelodeon), Spin City, On Disney Now!, and Entertainment Tonight.

ANOTHER PEICE OF PHOTO MANIPULATION.THIS WAS ONE OF THE PEICES I DID FOR MAGNUMS "BREATH OF LIFE" ALBUM IN 2002. I WANTED TO GIVE IT A HUGH SYME FEEL. I LIKED IT SO MUCH I MADE IT INTO A POSSIBLE SINGLE RELEASE PRE DESIGN AS A MOCK UP.

"BREATH OF LIFE" WAS MAGNUMS RETURN TO THE MUSIC SCENE IN 2002. THE GUYS IN THE BAND ASKED ME TO DESIGN A CONCEPT WHICH WAS A STRANGE DREAM LIKE SCENE. A SELECTION OF RANDOM IMAGES ARE SEEN ON THE FRONT, WHICH HAVE HIDDEN MEANINGS ONLY A FEW PEOPLE KNOW.

AGAIN THIS IMAGE HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM THE BOOKLET DESIGNED FOR MAGNUM`S "BREATH OF LIFE" CREATED IN BRYCE WITH PHOTGRAPHIC MANIPULATION IN PHOTOSHOP.

MAGNUM`S RIVER SESSION, COMMISSIONED BY RIVER RECORDS. THIS WAS FOR A LIVE RECORDING OF THE BAND. THEY WANTED A CLASSIC MAGNUM FEEL WITH FUTURISTIC LANDSCAPE. I USED BRYCE TO CREATE THE LANDSCAPE AND BUILDINGS AND FINISHED OFF IN PHOTOSHOP.

NECROMANCER WAS A MOCK UP WITH IMAGES MADE IN POSER MIXED WITH REAL PHOTO`S. THE FINAL WORK ENDED UP AS PART OF THE DESIGN ON PAUL HODSON`S ALBUM "THIS STRANGE WORLD"

I WAS ASKED TO REPRODUCE A PEICE OF ART WORK THAT SHOWS SOME JIGSAW PUZZLE PARTS. I RE-DESIGNED ALL THE PEICES SO THAT THEY FIT TOGETHER. IT LOOKED 3D & REALISTIC. THE BAND PREFERED THE ROUGH DESIGNS THEY HAD TO START, SO THIS IS HOW IT LOOKED IN THE END.

UK ROCK OUTFIT PULSE COMMISSIONED ME TO DO THE DESIGN & BOOKLET FOR THEIR DEBUT RELEASE.THERE WERE NO DEFINATE IDEAS GIVEN IN THE BRIEF. I DID SOME FUTURISTIC GLOBES & LANDSCAPES AS A PROOF. THE BAND LIKED THE FIRST IDEAS I CAME BACK WITH. CREATED IN PHOTO SHOP & KIA POWER TOOLS.

THE IMAGE ON THE FRONT WAS ACTUALLY MY GIRLFREIND. I THEN ADDED SOME 3D TEXTURES AND BOOSTED CONTRASTS TO GET THE FINAL RESULT. THIS IS ONE OF MY FIRST PHOTO-PHOTOSHOP DESIGNS.

Skin Tag is an exciting new band made up of 5 very talented and seasoned musicians from the New Jersey rock scene. Handling vocal duties is none other than Jimmy Lawrence, best known for his solo album "The World Is Round" which gained nothing but great reviews and critics everywhere in the melodic rock world. He teamed up in may 2000 with keyboard wiz Charlie Calv, renowned for his work in Shotgun Symphony, Message and Melodica. Soon after they were joined in the studio by Charlie's band mate in Shotgun Symphony, drummer Ron Sivulich Jr

THE SECOND RELEASE BY UK ROCK ARTISTS PULSE. THE BAND WANTED SOME THEME WHICH INCORPERATED A COMPASS. THIS WAS THE 1ST DRAFT. THE BAND LIKED IT SO MUCH THERE WAS VERY LITTLE TO REFINE ON THE DESIGN.

Vince O`Regan has been playing guitar for about 20 years, during that time he's been in hundreds of bands and has become a very seasoned and respected player on the UK live circuit. Of the people he`s worked with previously, he was briefly involved with KOOGA (Nevil McDonald`s band prior to SKIN) and No Sweat.The last 4 years he has been involved in various tribute bands - Ozzmosis, Snakebite, New Jersey - and has gigged extensively around the UK developing his skills. Of course, Vince is now best known for being Bob Catley's live guitarist for the last year - having joined for the Christmas tour with Kip Winger in the UK and Spain, then the co-headlining tour of Europe with Ten during May 2001.Around this time, Vince brought some material that he'd been working on to the attention of the label and having been suitably impressed, a deal was inked. One of the most striking elements of the material was the superb lead vocalist: Simon Abbots, who had also co-written the songs with Vince. Rounding out the Pulse line-up on the album are Al Barrow (also a member of Bob Catley`s live entourage as well as being known for his time in Hard Rain), Alan Dawkins (keyboards) Lynch Radinsky (drums). The eponymous debut album was recorded at Mad Hat Studios in the Midlands (owned and used by Hard Rain / Magnum) with Mark Stuart (Dante Fox / Hard Rain) and Vince at the production helm."Pulse" is a classic UK AOR album in the vein of such acts as Heartland, Atlantic and Magnum. Pulse have already been busy on the live front, as is their intention, with appearances opening for Company Of Snakes and at the prestigious Gods 2001 event in November. Look out for them to be playing many more shows in the coming months.

U.S. ARTIST RALPH SANTOLLA ASKED ME TO COME UP WITH A CD DESIGN FOR HIS NEW ALBUM. AGAIN I HAD TOTAL FREEDOM AS LONG AS IT FITTED WITH THE SHAOLIN MONK THEME.

Ralphs professional career started when he played for a short time in the extreme metal band DEATH, but later on he founded his first band, called EYEWITNESS, which released two albums "Eyewitness" on Now & Then Records (1995) and "Messiah Complex" (Alpha Brunette 1996). Later the band evolved into MILLENIUM and with this monicker and with his main songwriting, Ralph has reached the biggest heights in his career so far, expecially with the two commercially successful and critically acclaimed releases "Angelfire" and "Hourglass", the latter featuring vocalist extraordinaire Jorn Lande. Ralph was also involved in a more Skid Row/Kiss oriented project called Monarch released on Frontiers Records at the end of 1998.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK FOR MAGNUM`S "BRAND NEW MORNING". THE BAND WANTED A SLIGHTLY DARKER FEEL TO THE FRONT COVER SO I ADAPTED IT TO LOOK LIKE THE SHOT WAS AT NIGHT. I LIKE THE STRONG COLOURS BUT GIVE IT A CARTOON FEEL. THE SCARECROW WAS A MIX OF REAL AND AIR BRUSH WORK. THE SCARECROW TOOK 12 DAYS TO RE-DRAW.

A MOCK UP FOR ANOTHER POSSIBLE MAGNUM RELEASE.I REDESIGNED THE "WINGS OF HEAVEN "LOGO USED ON AN EARLY MAGNUM ALBUM. BEVALS & DROP SHADOWS TO ADD A 3D QUALITY.
